What is dork diaries genre?

Dork Diaries is a set of comedic Children's Books that feature the personal diary entries of 14 year old West Chester Country Day Middle School student Nikki Maxwell. The book is written in a humorous, comedic tone which makes the book fall under the comedy genre. The most recent book in the series "Dork Diaries 7: Tales from a Not-So-Glam TV Star" was released in June of 2014.
