ETG, or ethyl glucuronide, is a metabolite of ethanol that can be detected in urine tests to determine alcohol consumption. It does not measure blood alcohol levels directly, but rather indicates whether alcohol has been consumed within a certain timeframe, usually up to 80 hours after drinking. The presence and concentration of ETG in urine can provide an indication of the extent and recency of alcohol intake.
