What does lady slipper eat?

Lady slippers, particularly the orchid species known as Cypripedium, do not directly consume food like animals do. Instead, they obtain nutrients through a symbiotic relationship with mycorrhizal fungi in the soil, which help them absorb water and essential minerals. The orchids rely on these fungi to break down organic matter, allowing the plants to thrive in their natural habitats.
