If humans were at the bottom of the food chain (if we assume that we did not replace the sun as the main energy source of the planet) then we would need to get our energy entirely from photosynthesis, meaning our cells would be full of chloroplasts, and our skin would be green. We would be eaten by everything from caterpillars to small herbivores.
