Queen Victoria was born at Kensington Palace in London on May 24, 1819 and died at Osborne House on January 22, 1901. She reigned as the monarch of the United Kingdom from June 20, 1837 until her death. The period of time in which she ruled, over 63 years, is known as the Victorian era.
