How do you get the horse in Legend of Zelda Majora's mask?

To get the Garo's Mask, which is required to get into Ikana Canyon, all you have to do is beat the Gormon Brothers in a horse race. Remember, DON'T USE UP ALL YOUR CARROTS UNTIL YOU ARE NEAR THE END OF THE RACE!
