Are artichokes available in India

If you google this question it turns out there is a grower of artichokes in South India, in the Nilgiris. Whether they are available for purchase or not, I do not know. One place to inquire is foodesto.com. They carry a lot of products required in western/continental cuisine. Also, there may be growers in Goa where a huge expatriate community resides.
