Who was killed by Lennie on Of Mice and Men?

well, George kills Lennie because he is afraid that he will get into more trouble if he's on his own (George cant go with Lennie anymore because he just causes harm to other people) and he wants to kill him, not curly. Curly wants to kill Lennie because Lennie killed Curly's wife and George wants to kill Lennie because he doesn't want a stranger to do it. Like candy said 'I shouldn't of let no stranger kill my dog, I should of done it myself' ... :)
