trying to find same answer on 1993 500 sel - under the hood on drivers side - near front is latch that when opened has a cap that might say hydrolic in German - could that be it? - James.lance@ny.ngb.army.mil
These cars also have a hydrolic shocks, and the reservoir for that system is also under the hood near the front but under a protective plastic cover.
The Power Steering reservoir is attached to the engine itself, forward toward the radiator, and on the driver's side (favoring the right as you face the engine with the hood up). There you will find a metal cylinder with a metal cap approximately four inches in diameter. The metal cap is held on by a tall black plastic screw cap the comes off conventionally, you screw it off counter clockwise. Don't let it call into the engine when you unscrew it.
