Yes, sort of... After Bruce Wayne's (Batman) parents died, Alfred was all he had. He had been the family's butler. I'm guessing deep down- way deep down- Batman really does consider Alfred to be his best friend. Oh!- and by the way- his full name is Alfred Pennyworth.
