Do cockroaches eat soap

i too would like to knwo the answer. i have been dooing a science experiment on essential oils as non-toxic cockroach repellents.

i also know that cinnaom and tea tree oil will also kill kill cockroaches when exposed to them. i have yet to 2 discover the reason why.
