How do you Change motor oil on 2005 BMW k1200lt?

Remove skid plate. Relieve pressure on two 'front' hex socket screws holding the oil filter cover on, be ready with a pan, relieve pressure on the rear-most screw and the oil will run out (all over the place if you are not careful.) Then remove last screw, remove oil filter, etc. The manual calls for a piece of material to be cut to shape to fit under the filter to guide the waste oil into a container so as not to make a mess. It looks sort of like a snow man shape. i
