What is the princess who stood on her own two feet about?

It's about a Princess who dreams of getting married. She's brilliant at everything and has all the looks but not the man. Then a sexist Prince comes by and doesn't like her because she's too tall but then gets bribed into marrying her. He says all sorts of sexist things, that made the Princess mute and not walk but the Princess did all this for him willingly. Then there is an enchanted dog who likes the Princess for who she is. He dies and she buries him in her wedding dress. He then comes back as a man no memory of the past and but that he has traveled a long dark way. He marries the Princess.
