When you dip a litmus strip in a glass of tomato juice it turns orange this tells you that the juice is?

It tells you that the juice is coloured orange and that the litmus strip is simply showing the colour of the stuff that it is dipped into. A litmus strip should turn red in an acid environment but if you dip it into a mixture of mainly blue ink (neutral) and a tiny bit of vinegar (mild acid) it will turn blue and not red. Why? Because the blueness of the ink overwhelms the effect of the mild acid.
