Can spiders live in extreme heat?

Yes. They are attracted to the very large thermal signature given off by the human body. The body does not radiate heat evenly, some areas emit heat more then others. This is typically why venomous spider bites are found in the areas that emit the most heat, i.e. nape of neck, arm pit, groin, and scalp.
