What keeps causing the rear transmission seal to keep blowing out on a 2000 Dodge Dakota RT 5.9 liter?

Try checking the fluid overflow vent usually mounted to the top of the transmission. Make sure that is not clogged up. It just sounds like too much pressure being built up from transmission somewhere. Hope that helps.
