How many a-10's have been shot down?

As of October 2023, the A-10 Thunderbolt II, commonly known as the Warthog, has been shot down on a few occasions during its operational history. Notably, during conflicts such as the Gulf War and in engagements in the Balkans, a total of approximately 11 A-10s were lost due to enemy action, with some additional losses from accidents and non-combat incidents. However, the aircraft has a strong combat survivability record, thanks to its design and armoring.
