What are the different tests conducted on cables?

Various tests are conducted on cables to ensure their performance and safety, including insulation resistance tests, which measure the integrity of the insulation; continuity tests, which check for proper electrical connections; and dielectric strength tests, which assess the cable's ability to withstand high voltages. Other tests include temperature rise tests, to evaluate heat dissipation under load, and mechanical tests, such as tensile and bend tests, to determine the cable's durability.
