The Huron territory, traditionally inhabited by the Huron-Wendat people, was primarily located in what is now southern Ontario, Canada. This area included regions around the Great Lakes, particularly near Lake Ontario and Lake Huron. The Huron-Wendat established villages and agricultural practices in this territory before European contact, particularly around the 16th and 17th centuries. Today, the Huron-Wendat Nation is recognized and has a community in the region near Quebec.
