Where are the docks in Grand Theft Auto Vice City?

There are several docks throughout Grand Theft Auto Vice City. Some are official docks where boats are parked and others are places where you can position yourself to steal a boat. Remember that in Vice City going into the water will automatically kill you, so avoid falling into the water from the dock.

There is a dock on the first island (the one where you are at in the beginning of the game) at Pier 2. You'll remember this is where you do missions for Cortez. The problem is that the doors are locked so you have to wait until the door is unlocked in order to access the docks. If you look on the map (refer to the GTA: Vice City map in the Related Links) it is located on the first island towards the bottom on the west side.

Another set of docks is off the southwest shore of the first island (refer to map). These docks can only be accessed by boat. In the southeast corner of the second island there is another set of docks. It is also a boating house. You'll do several missions here as well. Here's a tip: if you are stuck on the first island get a car and enter in the car floats on water cheat. Drive the car to the boating house and drive up onto the landing ramp. You are now able to explore the island or you can walk along the docks and find a boat.

There are a few docks at the Leafy Links Golf course located off the first island. You can access these by walking around the perimeter of the facility. These aren't big docks so you may find a boat or you may not.

Just like Leafy Links, there are several docks in Starfish Island. Go to one of the homes that border the northern shore of Starfish Island. Walk into the backyard of any of these homes and go to the northern most tip and you will be able to reach the docks. If you refer to the map you can actually see the docks on the map. Also, during several missions you'll be using the boats from these homes so it will help you become familiar with which homes have docks and which do not.

When you get a boat try exploring the eastern shore of the second island and the western shore of the first island. There are a lot of individual docks that aren't on the map. They usually can only be accessed by boat. During one mission you will have a boating race, in this race you'll see a lot of these individual docks.
