What does friability of the ileocecal valve mean?

People with Crohn's disease suffer from inflammation of the colon and small intestine. The ileocecal valve is between these two structures and is sometimes affected. Friability refers to how much of the valve tissue has degenerated as a result of recurring inflammation.
