Is Pennsylvania a Democratic or Republican state?

The citizens of Pennsylvania according to the statistics of the past four presidential elections predominantly voted Democratic, thereby making Pennsylvania a blue state.

However, it is interesting to note that both the governor and the lieutenant governor of Pennsylvania are Republican, along with the majority of the state's representatives in the United States Congress.
