What data would a spreadsheet hold?

A spreadsheet is capable of containing a wide range of data and formulas. Most commonly it will be numeric data, but it can be other things like text, dates, times and logical values like True and False. You can also draw things in a spreadsheet and create many kinds of charts and other forms of graphics on a spreadsheet. Spreadsheets are very versatile and can be used to do a wide range of tasks, beyond what people normally use them for.
