One of the pros of keeping pets is the sheer enjoyment that many gain from the interactions that they share with their pet. Some of the cons of keeping pets are that they are completely dependent on you for their survival and because of this you do need to alter your schedule to accommodate them. If you cannot devote the time to properly take care of a pet, it is usually better that you do not make that commitment.
