What character from a fairy tale used to spend much time in front of the mirror?

The fairy tale is probably Snow White. Her father, the king, raises her after his queen's death until he remarries.

The new queen, Princess Snow White's stepmother, has a magic mirror which she asks every day to tell her who is the most beautiful woman in the land, and the mirror always says, 'You, my queen, are fairest of all,' or Words to that effect.

But when her stepdaughter turns sixteen, the mirror tells the queen that Snow White is the fairest in the land.

The queen is livid, and if you don't already know the rest of the story I won't spoil it for you, except to say there are dwarfs in it, and a handsome prince.
