How does a tiger kill large prey?

Tigers, leopards, lions, and snow leapards kill large prey using asphyxiation. They bite the animal on the throat or around the muzzle to suffocate it. Jaguars, however, have an extremely strong bite force, and they kill their prey by biting it on the skull, crushing the skull.
