yes but for regional distribution(sales go mostly to asia and countries close-by) , around the 80's audi complied with faw a chinese car manufacturer named faw-vw in which he produced audi a4, a6L, and a8 and composites as well as some Volkswagen vehicles such as jetta, bora, golf and so on since then faw-vw has become the #1 chinese luxury car manufacturer all under the european audi manufacturing rules but the audi consumption for the americas and Europe is still produced in the plants of europe (soon to be assumed by the New Mexico plant) you would say is inadequate to produce luxury cars in china due to its fame for making really crappy cars but audi has managed to keep everything german proof on its factory in china this has helped to manage demand an to expand the brand worldwide. so much that bmw has already announced its competing alliance with brilliance another chinese car builder.
