To remove the steering wheel on a 2004 Saturn Ion:
Disconnect the battery and wait 10–15 minutes (for airbag safety).
Remove the airbag by unscrewing the Torx bolts from behind the wheel and unplugging connectors.
Mark the wheel position, remove the center bolt, and use a steering wheel puller to detach it.
Unplug any electrical connectors before fully removing the wheel.
