Recordkeeping professionals do not pull down huge salaries, but the actual amount is determined by the size and success of the company. Most of these people can expect to start somewhere in the $40,000 to $50,000 range. From there, the advancement opportunities are somewhat limited. Though one can move up into a treasurer’s role and handle more of the financial records of a company, it is difficult to advance up the corporate ladder from the recordkeeping role. Still, it is a steady job that provides good security for those who are skilled.

A recordkeeping professional will keep track of the company official documents and handle much of the documentation for employees. They will keep records of what happened at various meetings and they will make sure that things are organized on a day to day basis. In some companies, the record keepers play a pivotal role in assisting those at the high end of the corporate ladder. It all depends upon the specific company and its needs.
