Why does food repeat on us?

Oh honey, that lovely phenomenon is called acid reflux. When your stomach decides to play a little game of reverse, it sends some of that delicious food back up your esophagus. Maybe it's just trying to give you a second chance to savor the taste, who knows? Just remember to chew your food like you're mad at it next time.
