How do you adjust the parking brake on a Volvo 850?

there are 2 adjustments a cable adjustment and an actual brake shoe adjustment You should only need to adjust the cable under normal circumstances Lift up your center console lid, on the bottom you will find an access panel that can be removed with a small flat-heat screw driver, there you will see kind of a large silver round bolt, it is a large torx bit, i forget the size, turn it clockwise until your parking brake has about 4 to 5 clicks.
