Who created the bingo game?

The modern version of bingo originated in Italy in the 16th century as a lottery game called "Lo Giuoco del Lotto d'Italia." It evolved in the 18th century when it spread to France and became known as "Le Lotto." The game was further developed in the United States in the 1920s, where it was renamed "Bingo." It was popularized by Edwin S. Lowe, who adapted the game and commercialized it in the 1930s.
