There is no such thing as a bonsai seed, a sugar maple seed is just a sugar maple seed. To grow it into a bonsai will take many years, at least 5-6 before starting any pruning, wiring, or going into a bonsai pot/soil.

Sugar maple seeds take at least 30 days to germinate after they have been soaked for two days, then refrigerated for 2 months (cold stratification).
