In watchmen why is rorschach crazy?

Youd be a lil nutts too if u lived that life...his mum was a prossi.. he saw some pretty grusome death scenes.. he got picked on when he was little..and just the fact that he was the only thing standing in the way of society and criminal minds!!! RWAH!

It is debatable whether Rorschach is actually crazy or not. The following events were probably the most influential in Rorschach's life:

• His mother was a prostitute, and he was picked on because of it.
• His father appeared to be an authoritarian figure whom worshipped Nixon.
• He spent time in juvenile detention and group homes.
• The rape and murder of Kitty Genovese, as her neighbours did nothing or watched.
• The kidnapping and dismembering of a young girl named Blair Roche.
