Can you use tremclad paint on wood kitchen cupboard after it has been roughed up?

I used Tremclad on manywood surfaces, especially these days it comes in a variety of colours. For example : Old particle board cabinets with or without the mat-tack- surface, or wood furniture where high use will be such as table legs, chair legs, outdoor furniture.
