When were Liverpool in the second division?

Liverpool Football Club has spent time in the second division during two notable periods: the 1900-1901 season, when they were relegated for the first time, and again from 1953 to 1962. They returned to the top flight after winning the Second Division title in 1962. Since then, Liverpool has remained a prominent club in the First Division (now the Premier League).
