During the beginning of the Nazi regime, the SA carried out violence against Jews and opponents to the Nazis. The Schutzstaffel (SS), was created by Adolf Hitler in 1925 to serve as his personal bodyguard. In time the SS grew in size and gained many police and military powers. From 1929 to 1945 it was led by Heinrich Himmler.

The plain fact is that Hitler was elected in 1933 on a popular vote and from then on went from strength to strength with the full backing of a clear majority of the German people. He would have undoubtedly won with a massive majority, had he not so despised democracy, even as late as 1943 and was strongly supported by the German people to the end.

Auschwitz alone killed well over 2 million Jews. 6 million Jews were killed altogether in ww2. in conclusion i think think that terror took a big part in Hitler keeping complete control of Nazi Germany but Propaganda also so took a big part of keeping control of Germany because if he didn't use propaganda the German people wouldn't of voted for him to become the chancellor in the first place.
