Can budgies remember a long time?

I have same question I spent hour in search of answer but didn't find any. I train my budgie everyday and some time I feel today is a last day and my budgie is completely tamed but next morning when I go near to him he start behaving like I am a threat to him. If anyone can answer this, it would be really helpful.
