How do you replace ignition switch on 96 Volkswagen Passat?

take off the covers at the bottom of the dash.

on the left side of the steering wheel you will see a circular pink and black thing with loads of wires. this will pull out with a small bit of force. the ignition switch is what this was plugged into.

you will see 2 small screws with red plastic on the faces of them. undo these two screws then pull out the switch just like you did with the other thing.

put in the new switch replace the two scres plug the wires back in and reattatch the dash.!!
