CAN THEY? yes. Do they tend to? no. While they CAN live anywhere that would/will safely harbor them, all accounts suggest that they are not attracted to houseplant. Nor do they prefer such places. If you're a indoor/tropical/house-plant enthusiast with a large or personally valuable collection, and are concerned about the possibility of a stray (/strays) bed bug in one of your plants during or prior to treatment...try one of the following:

1 part rubbing alcohol, to 2 parts water mix

-or-

Neem oil mix

Proceed to mist your beloved plants with one of the above solutions. ALWAYS be sure to use chemicals is well/properly ventilated areas. While moderate exposure to rubbing alcohol fumes is not dangerous or fatal, long term exposure can be unhealthy. ALWAYS err on the side of caution ! Lastly, some plant varities are more sensative to certain chemicals, so research collectible varities like Jewel Orchids etc prior to treatment.
