What is an easy article topic for a school newspaper?

An easy topic to write would be in my opinion, would be about something that has been in the news recently as you can look at those articles and try to put it into your own Words. Not only that, people will know what you're talking about as the people in your newspaper would probably be the sort of people that listen to the news.

Or, you could take it on a completely different direction, only if you're feeling confident by writing a debate article. This would involve you bringing up a point of interest for example "should we all become vegetarians" which would get people thinking about the article if you can make it unbiased.
