Do squid live in kelp forests?

Deep under the ocean current, the squid congregate in the deep sand flats that are just beyond the kelp bed. There is a huge amount of mating among the squid that goes on. There are flows of sparkling white egg masses that attract large amounts of predators waiting to dine on the female squid or wait for the delivery of numerous egg hatchings.
