What does the name iguanodon mean?

Iguanodon simply means "iguana tooth," with the syllable "don" coming from Greek. The Iguanodon was first named by Gideon Mantell, and at the time he only knew Iguanodon from its teeth. The teeth seemed to resemble those of a giant iguana, hence the name.
