How many models of cars are there in the world?

Quite a lot, there's a lot of companies out now plus a ton of them that have been closed. I don't think you are gonna find a correct answer to this one, because for example gm alone has well over 100 different models so if I had to take a guess I'd say somewhere between 3,000-50,000. Its really hard to put an exact number on it
