Is Newt Gingrich conservative

Many people will debate on the answer to this question: Is Newt Gingrich a Conservative? The answer is a little hard to define. Although many of his thoughts and actions make it appear that he is a conservative-- for example, his opinions of abortion, illegal Immigration, and education-- he might not be. In 2003, Gingrich stumped hard for President George W. Bush's prescription drug bill, which has added about $17 trillion to Medicare's unfunded legal responsibilities. "Every conservative member of Congress should vote for this Medicare bill," Newt urged. If you were to argue with this, I am not stopping you. This is merely just one example. Anyone can pass an idea off as their own when they go around talking about it so much.
