Just like most other mammals, polar bears hibernate. Believe it or not, it actually gets a LOT more cold in the Arctic during the winter. This hibernation keeps it from freezing itself. As it eats, grows even more fat, and sleeps for a long period of time, the polar bear is kept warmer and safer from freezing almostmore than any other animal in the world!
