Has the use of mobile phones become an addiction?

I think that a significalt part of te adolescent population I becoming extremely, if not overly, dependant on technology. I myself stick to the books mostly, but I do admit that it is very useful for study and educational purposes. Although, perhaps there is too much dependency on the internet... Say it were to break down for a week... All over the world. How many people could go that long without loggin on to facebook, or using wikepedia or something for assignments. People do rely A LOT on technology and I could rave for hours but I won't. But, I do think thy our dependency on technology could one day get us into trouble. It'd be like the middle he's all over again... Except worse.
