To reset the ECU on a 1992 Honda Civic, you can disconnect the negative battery terminal and leave it off for about 10-15 minutes. This allows the ECU to clear its memory. After reconnecting the battery, start the car and let it idle for a few minutes to allow the ECU to recalibrate. Optionally, you can also remove the ECU fuse for a similar effect.
