Who was Phyllis Diller?

Phyllis Diller (born July 17, 1917 in Lima, Ohio; died August 20, 2012 in Brentwood, California) was an American stand-up comedienne and actress who became most famous for her on-screen collaborations with Bob Hope in the 1960s.
