Where does the name biffy clyro come from?

There's a lot of things they tell interviewers, some of them are: It's the name of a Finnish footballer, it stands for 'Big Imagination For Feeling Young 'Cos Life Yearns Real Optimism', it's the name of an ex Ayr United footballer, one of them once owned a Cliff Richard pen (Cliffy Biro) and it somehow got switched round on a drunken night out.
